Damien Leith will perform at the Butterfly Ball.
AUSTRALIAN Idol star Damien Leith will entertain more than 700 guests at a huge charity fundraiser the Butterfly Ball next month.
Organisers hope to raise $200,000 for the Sydney Children's Hospital and the Touched By Olivia Foundation.
The Foundation was created by Drummoyne's John and Justine Perkins after losing their eight-month-old daughter to a rare disease in 2006.
Over the past 18 months, they've raised an incredible $300,000 to fund children's playgrounds and support the Children's Hospital where Olivia spent her last weeks.
Mrs Perkins is urging Inner West locals to go to the ball and help the cause.
"Last year's inaugural Butterfly Ball was a huge success and we know this year's event will be just as good," she said.
"Actor and TV presenter Lochie Daddo will MC for the evening and we've also got the Brent St Dancers and the live band Slide McBride, as well as the 2006 Australian Idol winner Damien Leith.
"We've got some fantastic auction items and prizes like jewellery from Tiffany & Co and a V8 Supercar lap with Craig Lowndes.
"There'll be a great buzz on the night and we'll be raising money for some great causes."
