ABBOTSFORD Junior Football Club is celebrating after receiving a $70,000 grant from Canada Bay Council to install lighting at Campbell Park, Chiswick.
Six new floodlight towers will be installed by the end of the year. "Upgrading the lights at Campbell Park will assist to preserve the ground, reduce the risk of injury and provide better security," Mayor Angelo Tsirekas said.
Club secretary David Lunn thanked the council. He said without the grant the work would have taken years to complete. The remaining funds were provided by the State Government and through fundraising.
